Henrich Zrubec aims for function in design, he believes that form should follow the function, especially in design. Inspired by work of Bauhaus and with the beauty of natural wood, he created several furniture objects. He is known for using the traditional folklore elements and crafts, transforming it into functional details. After 7 years working in London for several interior design companies, he moved back to Slovakia, where he started to build his own furniture workshop. He specials on CNC produced objects. Drago Desk idea originated by attempt to connect two worlds, the impersonal workspace and home represented by spending time with your pet. The feel of professionalism lingers in the simplistic lines, variability and overall functionality of the design. While the contrast of home is illustrated by the personalized, almost intimate bond between the owner and their pet. Although Drago Desk was initially designed as a furniture design for home environment, it reflects on the rise of the trend of pet-friendly offices and its versatility predetermines success in such spaces.
