Residential House
This house is a prototype for a residential complex aimed to accommodate young families. It is designed to symbolize the tree. A tree that grows and continues to spread its roots down the earth and its branches up in the air. It's the symbol of a family. It's obvious that this house structure is growing the same as the tree structure. The stem of the tree is the core of the house which in this case is the stairs. The stairs that shape its journey. A journey from the bottom the entrance level to the top the roof garden. With all spaces cantilevered out of the core.

The U-shaped house was inspired by the horseshoe and the outer envelope was inspired by the Burqa’a. Two essential but different elements in the Saudi culture. Elements that resemble both pride and humbleness, strength and privacy, beauty and mystery. Quite an interesting formula. Which is what this house is all about.

Mixed-use Building
The hub was inspired mainly by the old traditional market ‘souq’ in the middle east, where the functions are almost the same. The narrow corridors passing through the retails, the universal canopy covering the spaces underneath creating an authentic urban experience and protecting people from the direct sun rays, along with the harsh stone covered facades with its traditional pattern. All designed with a contemporary treatment that fits perfectly with today’s retail brands as well as modern day costumers.
