Marty Chou received his Bachelor of Architecture in University of Toronto, Canada in 2002, and Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design in Columbia University, New York, USA in 2005. Since 2016, he has been teaching architecture design studio in NTUT, Taipei, Taiwan. “Marty Chou Architecture” was founded in 2013, and has since been dedicated to pursue the art of clarity and the beauty of simplicity in architecture. Ezequiel Farca established his practice in 1995 and subsequently opened a furniture showroom. Today he is Creative Director and General Director of Ezequiel Farca + Cristina Grappin, a multi-disciplinary studio of 30 architects, interior, furniture and graphic designers, based in Mexico City with offices in Los Angeles, USA and Milan, Italy. He is widely recognized for integrating artisanal practices and objects to his work, always contributing to the local communities. Until today, Ezequiel Farca, alongside his partner, Cristina Grappin, has completed more than 80 residential and commercial projects across a range of scales, typologies and locations.

Jaimie Ota is a student studying Industrial Design at Academy of Art University. Knowing that she wanted to pursue a career in arts and design, she began her undergraduate studies at Pasadena City College. After years of trying out different artistic mediums she appreciated many creative outlets. Graduating from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising she was able to pursue an inclusive field called Visual Communications. She worked at a few companies that designed and created visual displays and props for major retail companies. She learned to create props for storefront, window displays. Her work has been displayed in many stores such as Macy’s, Nordstrom and St. John. Eventually, she wanted to develop designs that would help people with their lifestyle. Industrial design is a process of creating new products from beginning to end. She now wants to learn how to identify problems, develop ideas and through a process, create efficient solutions. After she graduates, she hopes to work for companies to do design in home goods and furniture. During her quest for knowledge, she acquired several scholarships and worked part-time to support her pursuit of her pathway. She works as a freelancer, personal assistant, dog-sitter and a caregiver.
