Chenchen Fan

United States of America (US)

Hello. I’m Chenchen Fan. I started with Fine Arts in Belgium, moved to NY to study engineering, and came to ArtCenter seeking a blend of technology and art. "Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works and how to influence the world." As an industrial designer, I am constantly sketching my ideas and finding solutions that are highly functional, sustainable and visually innovative. I love taking my research and developing multiple concepts. I want to find the most logical solutions, those that explode with potential. In order to create designs that sustain into the future, I want to find that perfect chemistry between aesthetics, function, and experience.

As an industrial designer dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, my design philosophy is rooted in deep empathy and cutting-edge technology, aimed at creating intelligent home healthcare products that address real-world challenges. With my accessible blood analysis device, I empower the blind, visually impaired, and elderly with the ability to manage their health independently, bolstering their autonomy and dignity. Moreover, my sleep apnea nasal mask design stands out for its innovation and human-centric features, reshaping the sleep experience and making better sleep quality accessible. Each design encapsulates thoughtful scientific principles and a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the products are not only functionally superior but also easy and comfortable to use.
