Karson Liu

Upon his completion of studies in Sydney, Karson became a tutor at the University of Technology and helped training more interior designers for the University. Since his move to Hong Kong in 2000, Karson continues to strive for his career as a designer. He has worked with Marc & Chantal, Alan Chan & Associates, Paring Onions. During this time he focused on design projects in the commercial sector, specialising in public spaces and exhibitions over Shanghai and Hong Kong. With years of experience in the design field, Karson also has a strong passion for graphics and photography - his designs are often expressed with a whimsical interpretation of his visual communication skills infused into interior spaces.

Isabelle Zhao Peng is an award-winning designer with a strong sense of her cultural heritage. This has fueled her interest in modern Chinese culture and inspired her to question how global best practices can be unified with long-existing traditions. She takes this as her long-term research program to explore the possibilities of poetic living in contemporary society and its relationship to art and design. By developing new visual languages, she aims to arouse people’s consciousness and reflection on their present spiritual status and to form an aesthetic attitude of lives related to innermost sensibility. Isabelle’s design research project Seesaw Roundtable won both the International Design Awards' (IDA) Gold Prize in Design For Society / Design for Public Awareness and the Silver Prize in Interior Products Design. ‘Seesaw Roundtable’ also won the European Product Design Award’s (EPDA) Gold Prize and was the Single Winner in Design For Society / Design for Public Awareness.

All clients, asking for design services, desire to get the prettiest, fashionable interior, that was created for them specially. And I have got several ideas, which are responding to that expectations. Moreover, I can hear and listen to my clients. And only because of and during the communication with client the personal idea is born. I have refused from the quantity of projects, I choose to put a part of myself in each interior that is created by me. During the years of my work the process of creating individual spaces is thought through in a clever way, there is no place for contingencies and force-major circumstances there. Each of my projects is unique, personally created solution for the space.

Vincent Chiang's design philosophy is simple: to achieve balance between beauty, function and cost (including environmental). Born in Hong Kong, Chiang received a degree in interior architecture at Middlesex University London and went on to work in the R&D department of Steve Leung Designers after graduation. Leaving to co-found his own design firm, In Cube Design, Chiang has been a Professional Member of the International Interior Design Association and International Furnishings and Design Association since 2008. With more than 15 years' experience in interior design and project management, Chiang's strength is in space planning. He has handled over 300 interior design projects, including the series of Shanghai PoPo 360 and luxury houses in Hong Kong. If asked which is his favourite project, his reply is always 「the next one」.
