Zhe Wang of SZA Architects

Wang Zhe has 18 years of architectural design experience. In 2004, he joined the New York office of KPF, one of the world's most renowned architectural firms, rising to associate director in 2007. As the chief architect and project manager, he has led the design of many large-scale projects in China and Asia, including urban planning, multi-purpose development projects, Grade A office buildings, super five-star hotels, and shopping malls. Before joining KPF, Wang Zhe worked for QPK Architecture in New York and Ayer Saint Gross in Maryland. He frequently served as a guest juror for architectural design courses at Columbia University, New York Institute of Technology, and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Wang's years of project experience include multi-disciplinary practices such as urban design, architecture, and interior design, with a particular adeptness at solving critical project challenges, especially in office buildings, urban renewal, and mixed-use design. Since 2016, Wang Zhe has also served as the consultant chief architect of the Beijing Vanke Commercial Real Estate Department and has presided over the design of several office, commercial, mixed-use, and urban renewal projects.

Chen Ling is the co-founder and chief designer of WSP ARCHITECTS. He was elected as the top 10 new Chinese architect in 2005, one of the initiators of the international Chinese American architect club, a member of Chinese housing security expert group of the housing security and public housing policy committee, a member of the expert committee of Urban Planning, Land & Resources Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, and the 2015 Committee of the green housing design competition in Henan province; lecturer at the National Federation of industry and Commerce Design Alliance practice business school. So far, Chen Ling has done hundreds of planning and architectural design projects, his concept of "walkable city" has been published by numerous authoritative media in hundreds of planning and architectural design projects.

Emotional Objects is born from this passion. He designs objects for his needs and hopes that someone else likes it too. Objects are created from this need and then, the design is taken to its limits, without compromises. João makes its own prototypes and tests its ideas and solution like a sculptor. After testing one or several solutions, its time to choose the best artisans to make it feasible. Manufacturing it's always very limited, mostly due to the design characteristics. First of all, its a labour of love.
